Loved the inclusion of octopi as main characters with their highly detailed culture and world. Such an unexpected combination of creatures in a story — but it works, and works well. The characters are developed fully, and the dragon society was unique and unusual — hard-to-find elements in today’s overabundance of dragons! Best of all, the author incorporated all significant elements of culture: art, celebration, trade, tradition and more, to spin a comprehensive and “believable” world. I can’t wait for the next book in what I hope will be an extensive series!
