Everyone else can fall in love and live happily ever after, but Xavier Owens doesn’t plan on doing the same. With a successful business, plenty of friends, and no shortage of willing bed partners, he always thought he had everything he needed. The only thing missing in his life is someone to share his kink, but that’s not going to happen. The last time Xavier let someone into that part of his life left him with a bruised ego and a broken heart. While both have long since mended, he’s not interested in falling in love again. Fate has other plans in the form of sweet and shy Oliver Nice. There’s something about the man that draws Xavier to him like a moth to a flame. Hopefully, this time he won’t get burned.
This is a 78K word novel with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA. Although it’s part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

Exactly what I was hoping for!
I have read (and loved) each of the previous Nice Ink books, and this was no exception. I wasn’t sure what X and Oliver’s story would involve, and I wasn’t expecting some of the twists in the book, but they just made the story even better. The simple joy of the characters in each other was heartwarming especially in these uncertain times. I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Tori is Exposed !!!!!!!!!
Tori and Michael are off with the FBI who showed up at their little place out in Texas. What did they want with Tori this time? Well so much transpires in this book. We are finding out even more about Tori and her very horrible past. As you remember back in book 3 we read as Tori got married to Michael who is the brother of Henry the man in the gang The Dragons who was determined to save Tori although he lost his life that did not stop him from trying. Michael was the security for a band. Brian was the leader of that Band and for some reason he never liked Tori. Well we learn that Brian has more in common with Tori then just music. WOW, shocker there.
While Tori takes off to deal with yet another gang and The Organization and Michael is off to protect The Band yet again.
Unfortunately thanks to the FBI and whatever it is they are up to Tori is not out of this yet. She is yet again torn away from a somewhat normal life finally and thrown right back into the Gang life she has tried to get away from.
Tori may have killed all the members of The Dragons but now she is thrown into another gang. We follow her through so much turmoil. Brett the leader of the motorcycle gang has now told Tori a lot about her sorted past.
What’s in store for Tori now? Life just doesn’t want to be good to her that’s for sure.
But just like all the previous books. Tori is one very tough woman and in Exposed she is no less than a strong woman.
Kudo’s again Samantha Jacobey. This book kept me reading and I want more !!!

Format: Kindle Edition
This was my first Emlyn Goode Mystery, but it won’t be my last! Author Susan Lynn Solomon has created a wonderful cozy mystery series, and this holiday novella is a delightful crash course into it.
When the police throw a Christmas bash, it is merry mayhem as everyone is surprised by the grisly secret Santa gift. Although her cop boyfriend tells her repeatedly to stay out of it, Emlyn Good tries to figure out the mystery. After all, where else will she get material for her next book. As the story progresses, readers get to know Emlyn, her family and cats well. While it is clear that the characters have, for the most part, been introduced and developed previously, Ms. Solomon presented her characters in a way that I felt I knew them.
‘Twas The Season is a good holiday cozy mystery that fans of the series are sure to enjoy.

Curl up with some great poetry in 2020! A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS! SHERRILL S. CANNON

newpennyteaser.jpgHave you ever loved, been loved, been confused about love, or suffered from loss of love? All these feelings have been captured and shared in the word of heartfelt poems, compiled over many years by a retired teacher and award-winning author

In years past, poetry was written and enjoyed by many, today there is the idea, including among some professors, (who I have heard say, they don’t understand poetry.) That insinuates that a good or great poem is something that is indecipherable to most.
I am not one of them, as with great poets, such as Maya Angelou, Robert Stevenson, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, there is a story in the poems, a sense of place and emotion flowing through the verses. ‘A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS,’ by Sherrill S. Cannon is one such book.
It is rich in emotion, stories flow through the verses, and tales of love and loss are ripe within its pages. It is a glorious book that should be savored from start to finish and this reader feels that one would have to be devoid of life experience not to find many in this book that do not strike a cord deep inside of them.
Ms. Cannon’s poetry takes on the issues of grief, dying, being the object of idolatry, as, in her poem Pedestal, love, loss, and letting go. A magnificent journey through life.
A few of those that struck a deep chord in me was ‘Pedestals,’ That tells us the tale of someone who is stuck upon a pedestal and cannot become truly human for fear of losing their love. ‘The Real Me,’ that speaks of the little part of oneself that is seldom if ever shown to anyone. ‘To See The Future,’ shows us all that we might lose if we could see the future. For we would no longer be living in the present, the joy, sorrow, love, grief, beauty, and glory of life would be forever shaded with the knowledge of what’s to come. ‘Does Memory Last,’ a question each of us may ponder, when we lose a loved one or are facing death. ‘Old Woman,’ is a poignant look at the young woman that exists in all, under the veil of wrinkles and aging.
There were so many poems in this book that touched cords deeply within me, as to bring smiles to my lips, joy to my heart, thoughtfulness to my mind and grief inside of me.
A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS is an astoundingly, wonderous trip through the thoughts, life, and emotions we all go through in life.
In the pages of this book, everyone will find something that will help them grow or understand themselves better. I highly recommend it.

This book has it all – ghosts, time travel, Texas Rangers, murder, and a little romance!
I found this book to be very interesting. It incorporates many fun topics like ghosts, murder, love story, time travel, and of course, Texas Rangers. The deeper story is that of love in healing. I could not put the story down and had to complete it to see how it wrapped up. The writing was such that I found myself fully engaged in the story and hoping that things were going to work out for the “good guys”. With the backdrop of murder, I found myself incredibly anxious throughout the entire work. This is a really good read. There were some unfulfilled characters and sub-plots that I look forward to hearing about incoming works.

He eventually learns of a great-aunt living in Fairy Falls, and decides to leave the only life he’s ever known for an uncertain future.

This novel might be the BEST book for summer reading EVER. It’s fun, it’s entertaining, and it takes place in an idyllic tourist town that thrives during the summer season. It also revolves around a whodunit-style mystery plot that genuinely had me guessing until the very end. And although this is very definitely a Young Adult novel, it will have no problem appealing to adults too. I’m not a huge YA reader myself and I adored the characters and the story.
The story starts off with Hart, a teenager who has lost pretty much everything and washes up in Fairy Falls, the idyllic town mentioned above. Hart’s only living relative, his Aunt Gertie (who is so awesome, one of my favorite characters), owns a huge blueberry farm and lives in Fairy Falls and agrees to take him in once she finds out his mother, her niece, was murdered the previous year. That’s where the intrigue starts. There’s a killer on the loose in Fairy Falls and they seem to be targeting Hart’s family and anyone related to them, as well as people related to Diana MacGregor, one of the first friends Hart makes in Fairy Falls and the daughter of the town’s mayor. That’s all I’ll say about the plot, because I don’t want to include spoilers, but suffice to say that the mystery includes a lot of unexpected twists and turns, and also moments of hilarity that balanced the suspense nicely.
This is the second book I’ve read by this author and one thing I want to note is that I really appreciate this writer’s positive energy. Both of the novels I’ve read by her left me feeling good and made me laugh and smile throughout reading them, even though there are also moments of wondering if the characters are going to make it through. Blackflies and Blueberries really is the perfect beach read because it’s engaging but also relaxing. I came away from this book feeling lighter and also like I definitely want to check out the first book in the series (although this one can be read as a standalone novel, no problem).
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporary YA, YA fantasy, mystery, suspense, and action/adventure. It hits the sweet spot on all counts across these genres.
