Quickie About Misconceptions
Kara and Cam had dated once in high school which ended up being a try to get his jealous girlfriend back. Years later, they cross paths again at a bar and misconceptions almost destroy their second chance. The characters are believable and the situations are right on target. Would love to see this book in a much longer version as it has great potential. Very entertaining.
Ashley Sweet was living her dream—baking cupcakes and making plans to expand her bakery—until Thorton Hodges walked in with an offer she could, and did, refuse.

Grumpy-Sunshine Love
I really enjoyed this grumpy-sunshine, age-gap romance. Ashley unintentionally wins Thorn over after he shows up to try to buy her bakery and recipe for a client. Thorn doesn’t think anything will work out because she’s so much younger than he is, but eventually, he changes his mind. The spice is good, and the characters end up being perfect for each other.
Dorrie Gayle found herself a pawn in a game between her father and his biggest rival. After being kidnapped she was rescued by the man they call Tin Man. Now they were on the run. Tin Man vowed to protect Dorrie and her little dog, but an old nemesis pops up to screw up his plans. Can Tin Man save Dorrie and save himself?
Rescuing her cat from a tree was only the beginning. When a dog chased her precious Princess Sookie up a tree, Mirra Walsh had no idea her cat’s rescuer would be her high school crush, Quin Lawson. Hoping he didn’t recognize her, she refused to tell him about herself, afraid he’d remember their disastrous meeting at the senior prom. Rescuing her cat was the least he could do seeing as it was his police dog partner that chased the cat up the tree. One look into Mirra’s eyes had him struggling to remember why they looked so familiar. When a drug dealer sets his sights on Mirra, Quin and his canine partner must rescue the damsel in distress in order claim her for their own.
The dismembered body of a young woman is found, each grisly part discovered separately by a member of the community. Detectives Joe Leverette and Philip Marsden are assigned the case, but the outlook is grim, with eerie dreams and hooting owls putting their witnesses on edge. When Carole Sage joins the team, the police are eager to use her gift of ‘second sight’ to gain an advantage. Will the young sensitive help crack the case, or will she become the murderer’s next victim?

Highly Suspenseful, Well-Written Murder Mystery
This highly suspenseful, well-written murder mystery opens with a grizzly, horrific murder that gives nightmares to several people not related to the murder in any way. Likable, believable characters draw the reader into the nightmare, while the baffled but competent police work feverishly to stop the killer before he kills again. I highly recommend this book. A good story well told
“Adam Gold” is a good story that is well-told, which is probably the best thing that can be said about any novel. The dialog is sharply and realistically written…which is probably the main reason the characters seem so well-drawn, realistic and sympathetic. Bernhardt also avoids most of the standard cliches and tropes of the vampire novel while still respecting the genre and its sources. The author especially has a deft touch with the language. I found myself stopping often to savor a particularly original…and often moving…passage. Indeed, much of the effectiveness, mood, emotion and characterization comes from Bernhardt’s adept skill at writing.
