“Sensitive Carole Sage once again helps Joe Leverette and his partner Phil Marsden search for the suspect in this terror-ridden novel.” – Call of the Owl (Joe Leverette Mysteries Book 2) by Viv Drewa

After an exhaustive search to find the person who dismembered a woman’s body, and her body parts spread throughout the Port Huron area, detectives Joe Leverette and Phil Marsden are baffled. There was no ID with any part of the victim so, with the help of their lab, eventually, they identified the woman as Heather North of Port Huron, Michigan.
But the sensitive Carole Sage they were not able to get ahead of the murderer. The search for the suspect became one hell of a puzzle they would have to figure out.

SUSPENSE-FILLED THRILLER

I adore the Joe Leverette series. Book 2 has not disappointed me. Sensitive Carole Sage once again helps Joe Leverette and his partner Phil Marsden search for the suspect in this terror-ridden novel. Ms. Drewa has a knack for writing a suspense-filled thriller.

“Highly Suspenseful, Well-Written Murder Mystery” – Midnight Owl (A Joe Leverette Mystery, Book 1) by Viv Drewa

The dismembered body of a young woman is found, each grisly part discovered separately by a member of the community. Detectives Joe Leverette and Philip Marsden are assigned the case, but the outlook is grim, with eerie dreams and hooting owls putting their witnesses on edge.
When Carole Sage joins the team, the police are eager to use her gift of ‘second sight’ to gain an advantage. Will the young sensitive help crack the case, or will she become the murderer’s next victim?

Highly Suspenseful, Well-Written Murder Mystery

This highly suspenseful, well-written murder mystery opens with a grizzly, horrific murder that gives nightmares to several people not related to the murder in any way. Likable, believable characters draw the reader into the nightmare, while the baffled but competent police work feverishly to stop the killer before he kills again. I highly recommend this book. Ms. Drewa, write faster!

High school romance with a side of horror/mystery!

I really enjoyed this book!

Jane is a socially anxious high schooler who moves to her father’s home in Oregon to get away from a tragic family event. In Oregon, she is reunited with some childhood friends and meets the mysterious and attractive Aiden whom she falls in an uncertain love with. There is plenty of romantic tension between them and it seems a couple other boys may be jealous, adding to the tension.

The writing style is fun and easy to read, letting the reader discover and unravel past and current events and get to know the motivations of the main characters. There is plenty of romantic interest, action, and intrigue to engage the reader and leave them wanting more. The book will appeal to anyone wanting to read young adult romance and action horror/fantasy.

I look forward to the next book of the trilogy!
