A chance encounter in a bar with the one who got away had Cam Beckett dreaming of his
own happily ever after. But, only if he could convince Kara to forget their disastrous first date
and give him a second chance.

Quickie About Misconceptions

Kara and Cam had dated once in high school which ended up being a try to get his jealous girlfriend back. Years later, they cross paths again at a bar and misconceptions almost destroy their second chance. The characters are believable and the situations are right on target. Would love to see this book in a much longer version as it has great potential. Very entertaining.

Ashley Sweet was living her dream—baking cupcakes and making plans to expand her bakery—until Thorton Hodges walked in with an offer she could, and did, refuse.

Dismayed at her refusal of his client’s offer, Thorn briefly wonders what the pretty young baker’s lips would feel like beneath his before immediately dismissing the idea. After all, fate only grants a man one true love.

Both Ashley and Thorn are hesitant to acknowledge the growing attraction between them until a near-disaster puts Ashley in need of Thorn’s help. Will Thorn be Ashley’s Grumpy Valentine or will he walk away?

Grumpy-Sunshine Love

I really enjoyed this grumpy-sunshine, age-gap romance. Ashley unintentionally wins Thorn over after he shows up to try to buy her bakery and recipe for a client. Thorn doesn’t think anything will work out because she’s so much younger than he is, but eventually, he changes his mind. The spice is good, and the characters end up being perfect for each other.

Highly Suspenseful, Well-Written Murder Mystery

This highly suspenseful, well-written murder mystery opens with a grizzly, horrific murder that gives nightmares to several people not related to the murder in any way. Likable, believable characters draw the reader into the nightmare, while the baffled but competent police work feverishly to stop the killer before he kills again. I highly recommend this book. Ms. Drewa, write faster!

“Bernhardt also avoids most of the standard cliches and tropes of the vampire novel while still respecting the genre and its sources.“ – Adam Gold (Behind Blue Eyes Book 1) by Sara J. Bernhardt

Fleeing the French invasion of Geneva Switzerland in the 1700s, Adam Gold books Passage to America with his family. On the ship, Adam’s daughter falls fatally ill. A mysterious man comes to Adam with a way to save his child by turning Adam into something darker than human.

Ron Miller

 A good story well told

“Adam Gold” is a good story that is well-told, which is probably the best thing that can be said about any novel. The dialog is sharply and realistically written…which is probably the main reason the characters seem so well-drawn, realistic and sympathetic. Bernhardt also avoids most of the standard cliches and tropes of the vampire novel while still respecting the genre and its sources. The author especially has a deft touch with the language. I found myself stopping often to savor a particularly original…and often moving…passage. Indeed, much of the effectiveness, mood, emotion and characterization comes from Bernhardt’s adept skill at writing.
