Karen Vaughan has written up another winner!
Laura Fritz is back along with the characters I have come to love from this author’s other books in the series. This time, Laura meets a couple of authors. Natalie, Silvie, and Terri were close friends and struggled to be authors. When two of the women die mysteriously, Laura gets involved and the adventure to solve a mystery begins. Karen Vaughan writes no-frills stories with amazing and believable characters. Grabbing a book by this author is like sitting down with an old friend and having a chat. Here novels are twisted mysteries with a cozy appeal and not to be missed.
“The sores forming with unholy speed on Harley’s arms and legs confirmed the infection was spreading. Its poison surged through her veins with such momentum that she could feel its sting in the current of her pulse. Unrelenting pain seared every cell, and she struggled to maintain focus, despite the fever raging in her blood.” – Viral StormViral Storm continues the story of Casey Williams and her friends attempting to flee the country and expose the evil work of BioGenetics, creators of the virus that spawned the zombie apocalypse. Euthanizing her best friend, who’d been infected with the virus, was the most soul-crushing thing Casey could have imagined, but that was nothing compared to what happened next… Like the first book in the series, Viral Dawn, Viral Storm has gore, violence, and dark themes common in zombie apocalyptic fiction, but the book focuses more on the characters’ lives than other elements. The story centers on strong, young adult female characters as do similar books in female-centered dystopian fiction like The Hunger Games, Twilight, Divergent, and The Year of the Flood. Join Casey as her struggle for survival continues in Viral Storm.

Plenty of zombie action
Just as good as the first book. Plenty of action, blood, and gore as needed in any good zombie thriller. This continues the story of Casey and her friends on their way to Canada while being pursued by zombies and a corrupt research lab. Also, we find out more about what happened to her best friend Harley, and her foster brother Derek. Can’t wait for the next part of this series!
All Carson Reno Mystery Series Books are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any particular order. What happens when a rich client, three beautiful women, a shifty businessman, a gambler, and a missing spouse are all suspected of murder? The results are a merry-go-round of shadows and lies in a house of cards with clues almost as old as Carson. Greed, blackmail, infidelity, murder, serial killers, and a twenty-year-old crime spin a tale that is practically unbelievable – with the truth masked behind a story that nobody wants told. This old fashion ‘whodunit’ takes Carson Reno and his crew on a complicated adventure, which has too many victims and too many suspects. Come along and help Carson find the clues and discover the truth as he tries to make sense of all the Shadows and Lies.

Reno is at it again!
Of course, I am a big Carson Reno fan. Just when you think you figure it out, something happens … full of intrigue and captivating characters, I loved this story. Reno is one of those unforgettable characters, and Darnell brings the pages to life, with his unique and formidable writing style. Reno grabs your attention and leaves you hanging on every single word. As always, I look forward to whatever comes next from Darnell’s pen and whatever hunt Reno will be on next.
Young American Michelle Rosemont visits a quaint, little village in England after graduation and decides to stay. She takes a job as a photographer for a historical magazine and is drawn to Kenneth MacKalvey, an older British author whom she has admired from afar. Their mutual attraction is instantaneous. But they are opposites in every way. Twists and turns at every corner heighten the suspense in this village mystery. Will his dark and shady past cause Michelle to run away? Will issues of abandonment at birth stop her from trusting him? Can they find happiness together despite their major differences? Or will old family scars and secrets keep them apart forever?

Well written and gripping! Another page-turner from Kauffman!
Another great book in the time after time series. Kauffman has created yet another pair of lovers, and they need to deal with all drama on their path to love. Michelle Rosemont has moved to England and fallen in love. Kenneth MacKalvey has a secret past and is full of mystery and that’s what leads Michelle down the wormhole. Just like the other books in Kauffman’s time after time series, this has an outstanding plot, very well-written characters, and intrigue and drama. It interests the reader, and pulls them into the world, as you root for the characters to end up happily ever after. Each book keeps getting better and better. This was a great read with romance, humor, drama, and some action. It’s a great book to add to your reading list, and I promise you won’t be disappointed! I thoroughly loved it, and look forward to more books by Kauffman!
Ten long years since she arrived in New York from Canada. Ten years since she ran away from what she thought would be her future. Forced to go home to escape a nasty situation, Evangeline comes face to face with her past and the one person that she never wanted to see. Shane is there, and it seems he isn’t ready to back down this time. Things are getting hot in chilly Canada.

I loved this story!
This was an amazing story full of romance and a chance encounter. Evangeline hasn’t seen her family for Christmas for 10 years and because of problems in her New York office decides to go home to Canada. On the way, a snowstorm hits and she stays at a hotel until the storm is over. One reason she didn’t want to go home and she was afraid she would run into her ex-boyfriend. She runs into much more. I highly recommend this book!
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe; She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do. She fed them all broth without any bread; Then whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed. ~Mother Goose, The Dorling Kindersley Book of Nursery Rhymes (2000)She took them from the woods, and she took them from dells, from hamlets and homesteads and across the wide world, she found young orphans, those abandoned and left on their own, and gave them a home. And all she asked for was a little piece of their soul in payment…Whoever said nursery rhymes were harmless?

Fantastic addition to the Never Land universe
Another great twist on a classic fairy tale. Ms. Lawrencovna is excellent at writing complicated, interesting characters who you learn to love (or love to hate).
