I love all these short stories in this series–I think I only missed one of them.

This one will leave you wondering what Cat is going to do since her hermit of a husband has decided he wants a divorce–and is going for custody of both children!! Luckily the woman he will be marrying is not going to go along with his plans!!

Cat’s Mom gets into the act when she kidnaps the kids with their Nanny and brings them back to Cat! Gotta love that gutsy woman!!

“What a great novel about a mother’s sacrifice!” – Echo of Heartbreak, A Recipe for Life by Carol Ann Kauffman

“Echo of Heartbreak, A Recipe for Life” is a short story written in the form of a letter from a very ill mother to her unborn daughter, telling her the incidents surrounding her birth, giving her advice on life, and leaving her the best of her family recipes.

What a great novel about a mother’s sacrifice!

The first book I’ve read by this author, I was not disappointed!
As you read this book, you wonder how it will end. Will the mother be right or will there be a surprise ending? You’ll have to read the book to find out. What a bonus with the added recipes. They come from an Italian wife. Being married to an Italian and I love to cook, I can’t wait to try some of these dishes and pass them to our children. My mother-in-law did not cook, so we do not have the handed down, generation after generation recipes. Maybe a tradition will be started with my family, and I will pass these on? I just ordered book two to see how the story continues and ends. I can’t wait to start reading it!

Great Reads

This was such a surprising read. I was expecting a suspenseful romance but it really was a thrill ride full of unexpected twists. The characters are unique and nothing is as it seems. Even the secondary characters grab your attention. As the story unfolded I truly loved that there were stakes that went so far beyond will they won’t fall in love. That said the romance was perfect. There was a bond there that surpassed the natural and really Mark was just the perfect man. I look forward to reading more from this author soon. If you want a romance that is high in suspense yet still manages that sweet romantic feeling this is your book.

Race Car Driver, Italy, and Attempted Murder, Another Richard and Nicole AdventureThese Stories of Richard and Nicole are remarkable! Each one is more exciting than the other. It amazes me how they keep finding each other and at least one of them knows who they really are. Carol Ann Kauffman has such a way to bring these two together in such an unusual way.
Richard accidentality ended up in a kidnapped race car driver’s body. The doctor who walked into his room, her name was Brook, but Richard knew it was Nicole. His Nicole! Head trauma said the doctor, but I can fix him with some time. But Richard didn’t have time. There were people out to kill him. So his Father wanted to take him back to his home in Italy and have the doctor come with them. The head of her hospital didn’t want her to go.
More than once someone tried to take their lives. When Nicole returned to America, her longtime companion wanted to marry her and she said no. You see, by now she knew who Richard is. Without giving anything away, you go through many attempts on their lives and you will be surprised who is doing it. Trips back and forth from America to Italy, with adventure in both countries. Nicole does leave the States to live in Italy and open her own hospital. But that’s not where it ends.
With Nicole’s birthday coming up fast, I knew they had to make some kind of changes. The way it was done was a huge cheer and a tear. I really loved this book. Edge-of-your-seat action. Twists and turns and suspense around every corner. Love Carol Ann Kauffman’s work!!

“I just can’t recommend this series enough especially if you enjoy clean romance, time travel, and strong female characters!” – Belterra (Time After Time Novel) by Carol Ann Kauffman

The Time After Time Series follows a pair of unlikely lovers on their adventures through life and love, this time on an alien planet divided into four tribes. When Neeka, daughter of the Lord of the Warrior Clan, was out picking lavender in their vast fields of the West, she felt him coming for her, and she was ready. When Braedon, Lord of the Soldier Clan of the East, rode into those lavender fields, searching for the woman of his dreams, he had no idea if she were even real. But there she was, standing there looking up at him, smiling. He reached his hand down to her and waited. She accepted his hand, beginning their adventures together, changing not only their lives but the course of life and unity on their planet forever. An alien planet. Or is it?

MikiHope

I just can’t recommend this series enough especially if you enjoy clean romance, time travel, and strong female characters!

All I can say is WOW–what an epic story this one is!! I have read a couple of other Time After Time novels by Carol Ann Kauffman and truly loved them all–I am waiting to get to read the rest of this series. I read somewhere that this one is chronologically the first–and I kind of agree. There is no doubt in my mind that these are all stand-alone alone and I am living proof that they can be read in any order!!

These two just can’t seem to get it together–even though they are soul mates- until the very very end–and even then there is a zinger.

“Having been done with [her husband] and comfortably surrounded by a loving family, Betsy is having none of his nonsense. Enter mystery man, Patrick. What will happen next?” – I Need Christmas (An Oakville Family Christmas Book 2) by Carol Ann Kauffman

After a depressing year of sadness, loneliness, and self-doubt, successful civil engineer and former All-American basketball star Elizabeth (Betsy) Curry returns home to Oakville, Ohio, for the Christmas holidays a depressed and broken woman. Reeling from her bitter divorce from the handsome, charming, but morally decrepit Tommy DeMalio, her college sweetheart and first big love, who left her after two years of what she thought was a good marriage for a stripper he met at an office bachelor party for her co-worker, Betsy feels lost and empty. Not exactly anticipating the happy holiday with her family and their multitude of joyful Christmas customs and long-time storybook-like traditions, she knows she needs them in order to heal.
Once comfortable at home and feeling somewhat better about herself, Tommy shows up and claims he wants a reconciliation, throwing her back into the self-destructive cycle of doubt, hostility, and suspicion she is trying so hard to escape.
She discovers her father has set her up with his protégé at work, the tall, handsome, athletic red-haired Patrick, who, try as hard as she can, she can’t find a single thing she doesn’t like about him.
So, what’s the problem? Betsy feels it’s too soon for her to love again. How can she love anyone again when she doesn’t like herself or what she’s become since the break-up? Also, she fears she will hurt the sweet, gentle Patrick.
Will the love, joy, and goodwill of the holiday season coupled with the many long-time holiday customs and Curry family traditions help Betsy to find herself again? Will she be strong enough to lift herself out of her self-induced prison so that she can take another chance on love?

Jeffrey Wirth

Another nice fireside read

“I Need Christmas” is book two of the “Oakville Family Christmas” anthology and keeps to the spirit of the series nicely. Being surrounded by family isn’t always the picture of a Norma Rockwell painting. Far too often it’s the exact opposite. But in Betsy Curry’s case, it could not be more the reality. Betsy is recovering from a marriage that was at best a nice arrangement for her husband, who by the way, abruptly returns wanting another try (with ulterior motives). Having been done with him and comfortably surrounded by a loving family, Betsy is having none of his nonsense. Enter mystery man, Patrick. What will happen next? Edge of your seat, holiday adventure! Page turner for sure!

What a perfect holiday read! Kauffman has created a wonderful sequel to Madison’s Christmas with this book. It’s got just enough of everything that it’s one you won’t want to put down. Pick this up on your holiday break and prepare yourself to get swept into the adventures of Madison and Kyle! It’s got action, adventure, laughs, and murder. You might not expect these things to go hand in hand, but It’s simply one of the best holiday stories I’ve read, and I really adore the character of Madison. She’s entertaining, driven, smart, and engaging, and this story kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! It’s just got enough action to keep you reading, but it’s not too dark that you won’t enjoy this book. Fans of action and thrillers you need to grab this book! I hope we see some other stories with Madison in the future because that girl has a knack for getting into and out of trouble!

Grab your copy of this book today! You won’t regret it!
