Great new concept in an MC book!

Loved having such a strong woman as the leader of the MC. Elizabeth is strong and feminine and a great role model for her two girls.
This book has humor and a bit of snarkiness and some really hot guys, who I hope to see more of in later books.
This definitely isn’t a regular MC book and I am happy to see that. I liked this new style of book.

I was plunged headfirst into this series and had to play a little bit of catchup because this is the third book, but the first one I’ve written. As it’s the last book in the series though, it has a nice little wrap up on the subplots. After the emotional journey that Aghilas and Grainne went on, I was particularly happy with the way their story came to a close.

While the dialect is a different, it’s easy to adjust to the way the characters speak, and eventually, I actually found it to be an enjoyable part of the story because it set the scene so much better. Cherime MacFarlane always does a fantastic job of putting a snapshot of just about any country into her work. When I read her work, I get to both enjoy a compelling story while learning about different cultures.

You have to read her first book The caravan of love to appreciate the hardship they have been through , but the humour she still has that keeps you wanting to read more .life can only get better for them all .

I truly loved this book. It is so well written and full of wonderful details that will pull you into Isla’s world and keep you guessing right along with her to the very last word. The world created is completely orginal and well developed. Just phenomenal. This book would be an amazing movie. I can see it so clearly in my mind. The planet, the buildings, the characters, all the tiny details, and the battles would be visually stunning. I’m such a fan of A. Nicky Hjort, and The City is another fantastic read from a very talented author. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and any other works by Nicky. Excellent, exciting, thought-provoking, enthralling read!

I sincerely want more!! I just had a blast reading this story. I felt it was gripping and anyone who is a fan of the dystopian/thriller genres would enjoy. It’s somewhat similar to other dystopian novels, as it’s hard to be completely original, however I found Hjort’s tone gave this story something different that I enjoyed exploring as I read each new page.

Loved this story!

Going into this story after reading the blurb I went into the story expecting one thing, but what I got was completely different! This story was wonderfully written and touched on a subject that is not talked about very often. It was like a breath of fresh air, and I absolutely loved it! There was a twist I just didn’t see coming!

The characters within the story were all great. I loved how they were not perfect, And that they all seemed to have a little secret, I really want to find out what each of their secrets are! Nate and Natalie were a great couple. I really liked how Natalie was so supportive of Nate. The book had many laugh out loud moments for me which was great! I love a book that can make me laugh. It was also quite emotional, made me tear up a couple of times. I could feel Nate’s anxiety through the book, I just wanted to reach inside and tell him that everything was going to be ok!
The book had a very in-depth look into the MMA world. I could see that the author really researched this subject, I may have learned a thing or two myself about the industry. I also really loved that the cover model has a story of his own to tell! I really loved that he is on the cover of this fantastic book.
You shouldn’t feel a need to hide who you are and this story gives hope to others who may find themselves in similar situations. This is a beautiful story of finding your way and finding that person who will be with you through thick and thin, they are always by your side and loving you unconditionally. I can’t wait to read the stories that will come next in this series.
