Coming in 2023 – Preorder now! – The House on Cedar Ridge: The Museum (Cedar Ridge Hills Museum Series Book 3) from award-winning, bestselling author Pamela Ackerson

A jealous and angry witch was among them…

Thalia Jefferies believed the danger at the Cedar Ridge Hills Museum had passed and life could begin with new dreams and second chances.

The corridors and hidden crevices in the great house on the crest of the hill whispered warnings of an evil presence. The malevolent danger was as strong and relentless as the waves from Superior.

She had to find help and create a campaign, a series of battles to prove she, too, had the resources to pit powers against the witch’s dreadful plans for her future.

The battle lines were drawn.

“Rainbow Learns to Fly, the second book in the Rainbow series, builds on the lessons of patience, self-acceptance, and helpfulness presented in Rainbow’s Promise.” – Rainbow Learns to Fly by Mary Clark Dalton, Illustrated by Michael J. Fuller

Rainbow has finally received his beautiful rainbow wings. Now he can’t wait to fly! How hard can it be? he thinks to himself. He’s thrilled when his dad tells him it’s time to learn to fly. Impatience rears its ugly head again as Rainbow is in a hurry to fly. “These things take time, Son. You’ll fly soon,” his father tells him. Follow Rainbow as he learns once again, some things are worth the wait!

Margaret Welwood, Scissortown

Perhaps upon graduation, or maybe on your wedding day,

or with the birth of a child, you thought you’d arrived—and then found that another journey had just begun. So it is with Rainbow—after all, what does a butterfly need besides wings? And what wings these are, bigger than his dad’s, and glowing with the vibrant colors of Queen Alexandra’s side of the family!
And yet, Rainbow’s dad counsels patience and daily practice, requisites for true competence. Despite his initial impatience and the overconfidence that stems from lack of experience, Rainbow displays a teachable spirit. It is this patience and teachableness that Dalton wishes to instill in her grandson, and in all the children who read her stories.
Rainbow Learns to Fly, the second book in the Rainbow series, builds on the lessons of patience, self-acceptance, and helpfulness presented in Rainbow’s Promise. Rainbow is “human” enough to make mistakes, but wise enough to learn from them—and we hope the children who read his stories will also learn from Rainbow’s experiences.

SKY08

A cheeky take on a foul-mouthed British detective exiled to a Canadian metropolis

Can the Andrew Dice Clay of British detectives get in touch with his inner nice guy when banished to Toronto? One can only hope the renowned politeness of his new Canadian colleagues rubs off on him and quick once this defective detective opens his mouth to speak. The stream of inappropriate epithets is jarring, to say the least. It’s no wonder he was exiled to [North] America by his Manchester superiors. Nigel Holme’s is loathsome and, oh yes, he also let a serial killer escape after the man killed the woman he loved. Dereliction of duty left him damaged personally and professionally. Needless to say, his new compatriots are not that thrilled to meet Nigel. He and his new partner, Kristen Sherlock [yes, Sherlock & Holmes] don’t hit it off, but she deploys her niceness to correct and control the out-of-control Brit. Kristen’s got trouble of her own, though. Not all Canadian police officers are nice, and there’s an especially nasty one who has it in for Kristen. Why? Well, that’s part of what this ‘whydunit’ is about. Can Sherlock avoid becoming a victim of her vicious colleague’s wrath? Can Holmes shed his barbarous ways so that he’s a suitable colleague and partner for anyone, anywhere? You’ll have to read Holmes in America to find out–tongue planted firmly in cheek.

“This series just keeps getting better and better” – Viral Storm: A Dystopian Zombie Apocalypse Thriller (Viral Series Book 2) by Jade Lazlow

Line Blurb

“The sores forming with unholy speed on Harley’s arms and legs confirmed the infection was spreading. Its poison surged through her veins with such momentum that she could feel its sting in the current of her pulse. Unrelenting pain seared every cell, and she struggled to maintain focus, despite the fever raging in her blood.” – Viral StormViral Storm continues the story of Casey Williams and her friends attempting to flee the country and expose the evil work of BioGenetics, creators of the virus that spawned the zombie apocalypse. Euthanizing her best friend, who’d been infected with the virus, was the most soul-crushing thing Casey could have imagined, but that was nothing compared to what happens next… Like the first book in the series, Viral Dawn, Viral Storm has gore, violence, and dark themes common in zombie apocalyptic fiction, but the book focuses more on the characters’ lives than other elements. The story centers on strong, young adult female characters as do similar books in female-centered dystopian fiction like The Hunger Games, Twilight, Divergent, and The Year of the Flood. Join Casey as her struggle for survival continues in Viral Storm.

Awesome!!

I call myself a zombie snob, I’ve read so many zombie stories it takes a lot to impress me but color me impressed. This series just keeps getting better and better. The storyline sucks you in and the characters are so real I found myself rooting for them. Casey has had to give mercy to her best friend Harley before she turns. Now she along with her remaining friends are looking to expose Biogenetics, the creators of the virus. The blood and gore flow like water and death surrounds them as they try to do what’s right and show the world the evil that is Biogenetics. I couldn’t put this down and now I have to impatiently wait for book 3.
