Great start to the series.

This was a really fun and fast read. It kept me hooked and not wanting to stop until the end. It does start slow but the authors building a lot of backstories which is really nice. A lot of reviews are saying it's too short but that really isn’t the problem. It’s the first book in the series and it's over 200 pages. The problem is you get to the end of this one and you want book 2 so you can know what happens next.
The character building in this story is amazing. You really get to know Casey and feel for her. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who’s a fan of zombie novels. YA or not it's a great story. I cant wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

Intriguing and entertaining

Great twist at the end to wrap it all up. I’m in shock and awe of Carson again. I enjoyed following the twists and cover-ups, and the mafia touch in this does not disappoint. I’m hopeful Carson gets his money’s worth for the mink!!!! This is a great series I hope more people find their way to experiencing. I was very fortunate to stumble upon this author and I’m grateful. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Easy to follow life lessons as well as recipes……

Echo of a Heartbreak is an excellent book. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the life lessons given in this book as well as the down-to-earth recipes Carol gave the readers. Unfortunately, I was in tears as I reread this book. However, I am relieved the essence of Melina lives on in her daughter in McKelvey House. I am going to try some of the recipes that are clearly given in this book. The author cleverly goes from storyline into her enclosed recipes. I have reread this book several times and enjoy it every time. Thank You.

I loved this story!

This was an amazing story full of romance and a chance encounter.
Evangeline hasn’t seen her family for Christmas for 10 years and because of problems in her New York office decides to go home to Canada. On the way, a snowstorm hits and she stays at a hotel until the storm is over.
One reason she didn’t want to go home and she was afraid she would run into her ex-boyfriend.
She runs into much more.
I highly recommend this book!

A great introductory short story, ideal to read before the series (though great anytime!)

The story of the first of Prince Kit’s Birthday Balls, at which he is targeted by assassins whilst in the gardens with a friend. This incident is referred to in later books. An excellent short story that introduces the reader to so many of the characters we meet in the main series, as well as setting the scene for the series. Despite its short length, it’s still full of action, drama, great story and is a very enjoyable read. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely say to read this before reading the Charming books.
