Fantastic dark fantasy

I’ve been in reading slump for a few months when I spied a post from Kevin about a different series. He was very kind telling me about Winters of Alnora.
I had previously read 3 of the Rosinanti series( books 1, 1.5 and 2). So I had a feel for the writing style of the author.
As a dark fantasy, expect dark themes throughout.
Kevin made it so easy to empathize with Alnora right from the opening lines. He can transport you to this world, I totally immersed myself in the story, when you actually feel cold just from the words you read, that is a job well done from the author.
This is a short story, it made passing time through a storm fly by.
I highly recommend Kevin’s books to any and all fantasy lovers. He puts a fresh spin on his books in a difficult genre to carve a path in.
I don’t know if there will be any more books in this series, but I would very much welcome more.

You know which movie I am talking about, right?  There are a lot of intricately woven elements to this story that suck you into the very end. Myths made real…
“Do you know why it is so dangerous to try and charm a snake, Magistrate?… Because the snake is as charming as the magician thinks he is.”
I do like that it is a paranormal type of book but it is not outlandish in the slightest. It is subtle enough that it lets your imagination run wild while continuing on with the story. This is definitely a page-turner and believe me, you won’t be able to put this one down. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Another great read! Once again, Lawrencovna delivers an imaginative, well-written tale with Forevermore.

And, once again, I enjoyed it very much. My only complaint being that it was just too short (yes, I knew it was supposed to be, but found myself hoping for more.) Lawrencovna is a delightful writer, and I’m looking forward to reading more of her work.

Lawrencovna has done it again! Fantastic characters and situations that keep you wanting more!
Eskild Fontaein comes home and finds a situation as the newly appointed town magistrate. A thief is hanged, Jaias Alvaldene, but her death is not recorded and Eskild falls in love with her.
Jaias is instrumental in helping Esklid in solving his problems with the village.

A story that is at times thrilling, heartbreaking, romantic, and sad enough to bring you to tears. Full of magic and myths, it’s a great read that I’d highly recommend.
