NOW 99c on Amazon – ” Finding healing and peace in a book about a serial killer was much more than I expected.” – A Sinister Bouquet: Awakening (Sinister Series Book 1) by A. Nicky Hjort

Devyn Mitchell has a choice… listen to the voice of her unborn baby – or die- again. After a near-death experience, Doctor Devyn Mitchell finds herself not only mysteriously pregnant but able to communicate with her fetus. She has two choices: give in to total madness or surrender to her new reality, which just may be the only way she and her family will survive the obsessions of the Homeless Hunter’s mind. A true paranormal romantic thriller, A Sinister Bouquet: Awakening, the first of the Sinister Series, will take you right to the edge of what you know to be possible and then drop you in a place so dark, so terrifying, that the only passageway out is through the blinding light of awakening. Wake up. Open your eyes. Finally, we’ve missed you so much. (MA18+ for graphic sexual and violent content)

Great read.

Love cannot hide in this book. Finding healing and peace in a book about a serial killer was much more than I expected. You have to read this book to understand how truly good it is. This book is unlike any I’ve read. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Fantastic dark fantasy

I’ve been in reading slump for a few months when I spied a post from Kevin about a different series. He was very kind telling me about Winters of Alnora.
I had previously read 3 of the Rosinanti series( books 1, 1.5 and 2). So I had a feel for the writing style of the author.
As a dark fantasy, expect dark themes throughout.
Kevin made it so easy to empathize with Alnora right from the opening lines. He can transport you to this world, I totally immersed myself in the story, when you actually feel cold just from the words you read, that is a job well done from the author.
This is a short story, it made passing time through a storm fly by.
I highly recommend Kevin’s books to any and all fantasy lovers. He puts a fresh spin on his books in a difficult genre to carve a path in.
I don’t know if there will be any more books in this series, but I would very much welcome more.
Fantastic job Kevin J. Kessler.
Now, I have another Rosinanti book to get into. Grab these books, I am so very happy to have found them.

GRAB ACCUSATIONS AT AMAZON –BOOK 5 OF THE FACES BEHIND THE STONES SERIES BY FRAN LEWIS

A funeral can evoke sadness on the faces of those that attend it, especially when they reach the cemetery. Looking at those faces, I began to wonder what they were thinking, and possibly what they were hiding.

As I scanned the tombstones, I contemplated whether many of the faces behind these stones were wronged during their lives. I can almost hear the voices behind those stones barely standing straight. Will they tell me how they ended up here? Were they guilty of great evil in life, or were they wrongly accused?

Listen as they tell their stories, and chills will run down your spine as you learn: What lies behind the stones.

The story each voice will tell you was silenced in life by the evil of others. Hear their words, understand their reasons, and then you the decide: Were the Accusations wrong?

FOR NAIL-BITING SUSPENSE LIES BETRAYAL AND FEAR FACES BEHIND THE STONES BK 3 FRAN LEWIS

Praise for Faces Three: Lies: Betrayals: Fear: Who will be the next to wind up behind a stone: FACES 3: Fran Lewis
Faces behind the stones will grab you from beyond. Watch where you walk-Karen H.Vaughan: Author of Daytona Dead

Fran Lewis’ Faces Three: Lies, Betrayal, Fear shows chillingly that crime comes in many forms. So does retribution. It’s filled with delicious irony. Mark Rubinstein Author, Mad Dog House and Love Gone Mad

Walk through a cemetery, and read the names of the Faces Behind the Stones. If you listen very carefully, you may hear the voices of the unfortunate souls who are forever interred there, desperately trying to tell their stories. Murder, arson, deception, and embezzlement…these are just a few of the crimes that led to their “change in zip code.” But, the question must be asked…were they innocent victims? Or did they deserve their grizzly fates? Lies, betray, fear: you be the judge: Maxine Bringenberg: Editor

With this brilliant blend of fiction with non-fiction the book illuminates a seemingly unimportant issue which in fact is at the root of much evil in the world. Through her powerful writing, the sharp presentation and great intellectual understanding of the subject at hand the author(s) has (have) created an important piece of literature and a moral lesson which nobody in my opinion is too young, too old or too wise to hear. Outstanding: Christoph Fischer

Fans of the Stones series won‘t be disappointed. Once again, Fran Lewis has shown her great insight into human nature. Another book to make the reader wonder: Ann Stanmore Author

THROROUGHLY GRIPPING COLLECTION OF STORIES! BAD CHOICES A FACES BEHIND THE STONES BOOK–FRAN LEWIS

Lindlae Parish

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes You Stop and ThinkReviewed in the United States on March 6, 2014

Faces Behind the Stones #1 is an eerie collection of tales told by the dead themselves. Each of the seven stories reveals what events brought them to their final resting place – an obscure, neglected corner of a graveyard.

Each character tells his or her own story. Often, the reader is left wondering—murder or suicide? All the people are forgotten, their graves ignored by the living, their graves overgrown. Why did these people have to die?

Sadly, none of the dead seemed to matter to the people they left behind. There is no one to grieve for them except a lone stranger who picks her way through the deserted cemetery.

Faces Behind the Stones is an incredible collection of stories, each more eerie and spine tingling than the last. Fran Lewis’ style is chatty and easy to read. The reader feels drawn into the characters as if they really are the ones speaking.

I highly recommend this creepy compilation and look forward to the other books in the series.

Below is a short review of the first tale in the collection: “Murder Through the Eyes of a Dead Woman”

MJ, a beautiful and successful woman in her 60’s, has a secret past that only she and a handful of people know about. She works for a doctor’s office and often goes in early and stays late. One day, she thinks she’s being followed. The feeling of being stalked doesn’t go away, it worsens. She wonders who’s following her and why. Has her past caught up with her? Or is something more insidious awaiting her?

BE PREPARED TO BE SCARED!!!! THRILLS AND CHILLS FOR YOUR READING PLEASURE!!!! HIDDEN TRUTHS AND LIES BY FRAN LEWIS

4.0 out of 5 stars Short and creepyReviewed in the United States on July 31, 2016I enjoy short stories and collections, especially creepy ones. And I take into account that they are just nibbles, not complete stories.

Some of these were great. They gave me the shivers and I truly thought the characters got what they deserved. And a couple had me a bit confused. Perhaps because the dead were too.

The dead speak from their graves in Golden Stone Cemetery. They have some ghastly tales to tell. Just how wicked were they to be buried and forgotten?. Would they repent if they could? Do they lust for revenge? Are their souls worth saving?

The answers lie in these pages. It takes talent to spin good tales using so little words, and this author passed my test. While the stories are short, they leave a lasting impression.

This is one that I couldn’t stop reading until I read the last word. Several of the stories had me thinking long afterwards. That’s why I’ll be reading more from this author.

To quote R.L. Stine: “Beware, you’re in for a scare!”

I received this book for my honest review.

About Fran Lewis

I am Fran Lewis the author of My Name is Bertha, Bertha Speaks Out and soon to be released Bertha Fights Back.

Fran Lewis

Growing up in the Bronx was great for my family and me. My sister and I had different interests, different friends but one thing stands out, and we lived in neighborhood with people from many different ethnic backgrounds. When we were growing, everyone seemed to get along and no one really cared whether you were African American, white or any other race or nationality. My parents owned a dry cleaners in the Bronx and so did all of my uncles and grandfather. I loved working in my father's store and going to my grandfather's on 180th street and Mohegan Avenue in the Bronx. Going to school in the Bronx, you learn how to get along with everyone in school and your neighborhood. No one ever cared where you came from or what you looked like. You were accepted for who you were as a person.

However, being over weight made things difficult for me and I often felt left out of many things that other kids could do. Being a total klutz did not help. I wrote these stories to teach children that we need to go back to the days when I grew up and everyone got along.
