“I think the storyline is ideal for young children” – What do Bunnies do all Day by Judy Mastrangelo

Judy what do bunnies do all day

This little book of about 200 words will delight even the very young toddler. In this gentle story, illustrated by exquisite watercolors, Little Bunny learns that whatever he does is all right with Mother Bunny. Parents can use this story as an introduction to telling their own child that no matter what, he or she will still be loved.

A Child Can Relate

I think the storyline is ideal for young children. It is natural for a child to wonder, “What does a bunny do all day?” The book gives credible and understandable answers in the young bunny’s adventuresome day. Sweet drawings. I really like that the mother rabbit and the bunny are not depicted with long eyelashes and pointed noses as we often see in-store merchandise. This is a good bedtime story for a child because the last line reads, “Then she [Mother Bunny] fed Little Bunny his supper and put him to bed.”

“If you are going to read a Reno Carson, this is the one!” – The Fingerprint Murders (Carson Reno Mystery Series Book 10) by Gerald W. Darnell

 Ger fingerprint murders.png

All Carson Reno Mystery Series Books are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any particular order.
Someone is brutally murdering people in Memphis, and for unknown reasons, the killer wants Carson involved.
They’re not just killing people, they’re removing the victim’s fingers and leaving strange clues everywhere. Carson becomes involved when the killer sends him severed thumbs – each wrapped in bloodstained paper containing Bible scripture.
Clues are everywhere, but none of them make any sense and aren’t connected – yet.
Old names surface and the mystery gets stranger and darker as Carson tries to solve the ‘Fingerprint Murders’.

Severed Finger!

The Black and White pictures mixed in with the story is classic! The Jack Daniels, the butcher knife, and the severed finger. Darnell’s style of writing, along with the sparse photos, paints a vivid picture in my mind and keeps me turning the pages. I’ve read one Carson Reno book before this and have to admit I am hooked. I don’t think Gerald Darnell can top this Reno Carson story. If you are going to read a Reno Carson, this is the one!

Nineteen-year-old Allie Walker’s life has been hell. She would do anything to escape. The painful experiences of the drugs, the beatings, white trash talk of the small town—anywhere else would be better.

Desperate to escape, she hitches a ride with a total stranger to leave her haunting memories behind. She can’t change the past, but maybe she can alter her future, even find the lost brother she hadn’t known existed.

As she accepts the ride, something heightens her senses. Was it his eyes? The air of innocence? With nothing more than her instincts screaming at her, Allie will do whatever it takes to survive.

“Echo of Heartbreak, A Recipe for Life” is a short story written in the form of a letter from a very ill mother to her unborn daughter, telling her the incidents surrounding her birth, giving her advice on life, and leaving her the best of her family recipes.

What a great novel about a mother’s sacrifice!

First book I’ve read by this author, I was not disappointed!
As you read this book you wonder how it will end. Will the mother be right or will there be a surprise ending? You’ll have to read the book to find out. What a bonus with the added recipes. They come from an Italian wife. Being married to an Italian and I love to cook, I can’t wait to try some of these dishes and pass them to our children. My mother-in-law did not cook, so we do not have the handed down, generation after generation recipes. Maybe a tradition will be started with my family and I will pass these on? I just ordered book two to see how the story continues and ends. I can’t wait to start reading it!

I loved this story!

This was an amazing story full of romance and a chance encounter.
Evangeline hasn’t seen her family for Christmas for 10 years and because of problems in her New York office decides to go home to Canada. On the way, a snowstorm hits and she stays at a hotel until the storm is over.
One reason she didn’t want to go home and she was afraid she would run into her ex-boyfriend.
She runs into much more.
I highly recommend this book!

A great anthology

A great collection of romances. I loved how each story had flawed characters, some with a sweet romance, others with more complex relationships. That’s how life is so I connected with each of them. They are all quick reads by talented authors.
