Darlene Kuncytes does it again. Entering the realms of witches, dragons and werewolves. The storyline is different from anything I have ever read. The backstory of Wynter is sad but not too heavy. The werewolf is an idiot and Maddox is the hot hero dragon. I won’t spoil anything but you will thank Maddox and cheer on Wynter. I definitely recommend this book.

In this book, we’re given an in-depth look into Casimir’s past, a look that left me with the impression that I had him all wrong. As the middle son to the Alpha of the pack, he was groomed to be Beta while his older brother, Alpha. Pack life is no easy gig though and survival isn’t guaranteed. It’s that which drove him to become Psycho Gosselin.

When he is eventually freed from his role, he feed the need to mend things with his half-sister. I loved the depth of the bonds that Casimir felt for her and his mother. Even though he was largely an unlikeable character, there were glimpses into his personality that made me feel as if he could be so much more. The things his father put him through scarred him deeply, but I was left with the impression that there is hope for Casimir in the future. Even for all he’s been through, I don’t believe he was truly a psychopath.

A wonderful story from start to finish. It revolves around a bear shifter named Sergie and a human named Kate, at least that's what Sergie believes at a chance encounter at a bar where they both end up getting kidnapped by a shady organization hellbent on creating shifters and weaponizing them through "genetic breeding experiments". All this occurs within the first few chapters, which makes it a real page turner to see how it all plays out. After that, the story unfolds with a lot of drama, suspense and a few surprises that I won't spoil. A wonderful story in a brilliant series, I highly recommend it!

I have to say my favoeite quote is “so mote it be”. L. Ann has created a new world in the Land of Enchantment. This world is filled with vampires, shifters, witches and humans. You have world building, romance and giving back all rolled up into one story. Worhout using rhe same term, the theme of making the world better by giving of oneself is prominent and gives real meaning and fewling to it.
I love the Prince and his Lady. The other characters add to the story and do not distract.
I cannot wait for the next story.
