this was a great supernatural thriller, it had what I enjoyed from the previous works that I read from Viv Drewa. The characters were wonderful and I enjoyed going through this book.
All Carson Reno Mystery Series Books are standalone novels. It is not necessary to read them in any particular order.
It’s a New Year, and it has gotten off to a very bad start for Carson.
Several prominent citizens and business leaders from Humboldt are dying in some strange and bizarre accidents. Carson becomes involved when an insurance company hires him to investigate.
What happens next is even more strange and bizarre for this little town in West Tennessee.
The clues are everywhere, but none of them make any sense. It may be that the ‘last man standing’ is responsible for these accidents – but why?

Darnell’s characters are amazing! They are believable to the point that, along with the storyline, pull you into the investigation.
I highly recommend “Dead Men Don’t Remember” to everyone!

Indelible by Samantha Jacobey is the fifth book in The New Life Series. This book picks up where Exposed left off. Tori has been trying to settle into her new life. She now has Michael by her side, and some of the questions from her past have been answered. This now brings a new set of problems for Tori. She now has a brother that is a rock star, and he has seen her play the guitar and wants her to join the band. But Tori’s fears keep her from seeing how good she really is. Michael just wants things to go back to the way they were. She wants to settle down and have a normal life since she was robbed of one as a child. But just when you think things are going good, she is thrown into yet another set of problems. Can Tori and Michael’s relationship really last when she gets unexpected news that someone from her past is in needs her help? I have loved this whole series so far and can’t wait to see what Samantha has in store for the next book.

What a gem of a book! These are some quite amusing little tales! How many times have you said "if only the dead could talk" or how many times have you walked through a cemetery and read the names and dates on the stones and wondered how they died? Oh, well maybe that's just me! I do it all the time. Well now, in this book (series actually) the dead do talk, and they trying tell you how they think they died. It is a very interesting concept for a story. I liked it!
I liked the whole feeling the stories had - It really does feel like the people are just sitting down and talking directly to you telling you their story. It feels very personal. Like I wanted to offer them coffee.
My favorite one was actually the shortest, and... Oh my gosh!
The Betrayal, about a dentist, kind of gave me the creeps! I hate the dentist anyway so this one hit home, but thank goodness I actually like my dentist and have a good one! Otherwise this story would be giving me nightmares.

In 1962 the quiet, and seemingly innocent, activities at the Humboldt Motel in this small West Tennessee town went unnoticed and unchallenged. Besides, a little booze, a little gambling and maybe an occasional ‘lady of the evening’ never hurt anyone, right?
Then one fall night after a football game, things began to come apart. It seemed that everything was not how it should be, or at least, how it appeared.
Unfaithful housewives, a football coach fixing game scores, a crooked private detective and eventually a murder, would bring exposure to ‘SUnset 4’. And that was something its operators didn’t want.
Carson isn’t involved in the investigation, but it seems everyone thinks he is. Protecting a friend, he tries hard to ignore things that are simply not right. Finally, he follows instinct and tackles the innocent and the guilty in ‘SUnset 4’.
What a fantastic book!

Carson Reno seems to get pulled into investigations he’s not originally privy to. In SUnset 4 he uncovers some shady goings-on and you’re on the edge of your seat when he goes after the bad guys.
I highly recommend this book!

Top Contributor: Fantasy BooksSamantha Jacobey’s, The Wicked Awakened, is a perfect Halloween read. Sarah and her childhood best friend, Karen, are off to college. Unlike Karen, Sarah is a dedicated student. Karen has other interests. I loved the depiction of the two childhood friends and their relationship. I thought the author did an excellent job of portraying the complex ties that bonds friends and how it can mask competing impulses. In high school, both girls shared an interest in witchcraft. Karen’s ties went deeper than Sarah knew. Karen is involved with a dangerous coven, who are interested in recruiting Sarah. Things go bump in the night, creative and original twists. Stories involving the occult. Some of the twists and turns, I didn’t see coming.
