I am an avid reader of paranormal and I would certainly recommend this book. The story is an intriguing spin on fallen angels and demons. I can’t wait to see where the author takes these fallen angels and their soul-keepers. Along with Bass' soul-keeper Bree we are introduced to Bree's brother Sam and a new fallen angel, Hogart. The character development is handled well and a little more complicated in this book as the charactors are faced with self doubt, PTSD and questions about their own future. More secrets and complications are revealed creating more questions and another mystery.

From the moment we are born, someone is there telling us to be careful. There isn’t no one that hasn’t been told by someone, to be careful, whether they are playing, or traveling or just doing everyday things, a mom, dad, friend etc. has told you to watch what you are doing because you are loved.

A baby is born and we read how the parents watch over her, protecting her and reminding her to be careful. From climbing trees, playing in the park or beach, ballet recitals, first dates, marriages and the birth of the child’s own baby, her parents are there to remind her that they love her and to be careful until the moment she says the same things to her own child, bringing the book full circle.

I thought the pictures were delightful and lead to much discussion about the events on the pages. Each page is simply written giving you a chance to let your imagination soar as you feel the message the book is trying to convey. The illustrations by Candy B. Driver were colourful, friendly and beautifully depicted and children will delight in pouring over their stories as you read to them.

I read this book at the suggestion of my husband, and I was not disappointed. Mr. Snider’s characters are unforgettable, and his book is unputdownable. This book has everything… action, drama, thrills, and loads of suspense, and it’s filled with lots of little twists. I would recommend it to anyone who just loves a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat! Just be advised that once you get into this book, you will not be able to put it back down very easily! I passed up dinner and my favorite TV shows, and several hours of sleep to finish it, and I don’t regret a minute of it! My husband thought he would have to go and buy new socks if I didn’t stop reading Brain Warp, and do the laundry  heheheheh, it’s that good!

Nedeya is involved in a military conspiracy when she witnesses her fiance being killed. While on the run, she is framed for his murder and so she must go deep into hiding just to survive. Nedeya’s friend Aileen, reaches out to Teague on her behalf but the only problem is, Aileen’s his ex! And let’s just say, that relationship didn’t end very well.

To make matters more complicated, Nedeya doesn’t want to be found. Covering her tracks well, Teague is forced to rely on the help of friends to assist on this mission impossible before it’s too late.

There are steamy scenes, action and even an explosion in this romance novel which is why it should be call a 21st century romance. There are no damsels here, and no bodice ripping nonsense, just a story about friendship, love and sacrifice. That’s why I gave Conduct Unbecoming 5 stars.

Serena and Ava have their own reasons for loving The Book Nook, the tiny workshop/café that provides a library in the form of a book exchange to customers, grateful for it in the small town a bus journey from Cork in Ireland. For Serena it’s her retreat from tragedy, the mysterious disappearance of the man whose child she miscarried and, one blustery autumn morning, a man she sees when she walks her dog on the beach, who apparently walks into the icy sea to his death. Her friend Ava visits often, escaping her city life with domineering husband, Richard, who insists on being the bread-winner and expects her to do nothing but wait on him, when her desire is to help those in need.

These two characters, and many others, are brilliantly drawn, and the story gripping, but there is much more to this book than appears at first. A girl whose father vanished from her life a year previously asks Serena to display a photograph of him. Serena does so, but tells Ava she will cast a spell to bring the girl luck with her quest. Is Serena really a white witch, or slightly insane with grief? If she does have magic powers, can she use them to find her own lost love? Can she help Ava to to find true happiness and if she does try, will it be as a normal friend or… read “Soup” and see, but do read it.

The story, while of a grisly nature is well written. Ms. Drewa has painted a picture that may leave the readers shaking in their slippers and wanting to sleep with a light on. Sadness is where this book begins. Bailey, the leading Lady suffers great personal loss and gets lost trying to deal with the grief. Her privileged life crashes, her choices diminish, and she is left searching for direction. She is forced to make hard choices but she may find the light in the arms of a charming young man? Oh, and lest I forget, her younger brothers and another brother she knew nothing about. Then, there is her Uncle, and worse yet, Texas. I really enjoy Ms. Jacobey’s writing style and she takes it in a new direction in this book. The storytelling grabs you in and messes with your mind. Her ability to describe the story settings, the characters, and struggles is amazing.
