Elise Phillips, a doctor in training, has successfully repressed her kidnapping five years prior. The only problem is…she has six and one-half days to remember every terrible detail or a total stranger will die. But to make matters even worse, in order to save this nameless woman, Elise will have to face something that scares her even more than death–intimacy.
Another paranormal romantic thriller, A Sinister Vision: Know This Much is True, the second of the Sinister Series, will take you even further over the edge of what you know to be possible and guide you right back out through the only way left…impossible.
Wake up. Open your eyes. Accept your assignment. …The problem is not to find the answer–but to face it.
Know this much is true.

Another fantastic book from A. Nicky Hjort!
Another fantastic book from A. Nicky Hjort! I loved the first in the series, and this one was equally as impressive. This was another completely original storyline unlike anything I’ve come across. Her talent for storytelling is remarkable. It was full of intense suspense that was magnified by Nicky’s creative technique of counting down the time left. Just excellent. Like A Sinister Bouquet, this was suspenseful, shocking, and beautiful all at the same time. It’s incredible how she balances so much so harmoniously. I can’t wait for the next in this series! Highly recommended!!

In awe
This was such a quick read, even more so than the first book. Wow. What can I really say. The author Nicky blew this one out the water. There was so much to this, that I couldn’t put it down. Nicky is one of those writers, that you really do enjoy from the get go. Of course, it is creepy, it’s got some terrible moments in, but the characters rock, they’re so real, I would swear this happened down my street. There’s not one bad thing about this that I can really think of but to say that even with the ending, I still wanted more. haha.
I am usually a pretty hard person to please and don’t normally give too many 5 stars for books. But editing, and story wise, I think this was spot on. I’m an avid audiobook listener more than a ‘reader’ but Nicky’s convinced me that I really should be reading more as well. I’ve had a great time with her books and will continue to follow her as a fan. As for someone who could narrate this, if she’s ever up for it, I can pass on some tips, but this would really make a creepy audiobook.
Thank you for the entertainment, and scaring me before bed. The writing evoked so many emotions, all good ones of course.
Highly recommended in this genre, if you’re looking for a great read, this is it!
A New Life Series is an epic adventure. TORI FARRELL’s life IS one wild story… escaped from a biker gang and running from drug lords… used by the FBI and hoping to protect her present from her past… IT’S DARK – IT’S BRUTAL, and it’s WORTH EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! (Mature read, 18+ for graphic sexual content and violence, including rape)

Brutally Beautiful
I will state right away that this book/series will not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is dark. It is violent. It is disturbing. It will haunt you. And it is amazing.
I have had this series on my TBR for months, and have gotten to know the author through her Facebook page, events, and street team. I have read her latest, Summer Angel, and was definitely impressed with it. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I have been wanting to sink my teeth into this series after reading teasers and comments for months. I signed up to host a spot on her blog tour next month, so I finally had an excuse to move binging on the whole series to the top of my list.
Tori Farrell has no idea who she really is and has very good reasons for not trusting anyone. This first book in the series finds her barely alive in a house full of murdered bikers. She wakes in a hospital with three unknown men, who we soon find out are FBI agents who want to pick her brain for information. The story that slowly unfolds is unbelievably brutal, but is told in a very powerful way and somehow shows Tori’s incredible strength as anything but the broken victim you would expect someone who had gone through a tiny percentage of what she has to be. No matter what she has done, you want to find a way to give her the childhood she missed, even though in her almost serene realism about her situation, she accepts that this simply is not possible. Few literary characters I have ever befriended are so deserving of a happily ever after, and I am certainly on board for the next six books in the series to find out if she can achieve a semblance of one.
Amongst many other thoughts and feelings on this book, I want to mention that it is extremely well written and edited. I don’t give 5-star reviews lightly, but I feel this has earned them, no matter how difficult emotionally it may be to read. As hard as it is to wrap my head around such an ugly story coming from such a sweet and beautiful woman I am getting to know, I may be most amazed at the light and hope she manages to weave into such a horrific tale. In some ways, I am glad to have waited so long to jump into this, because I don’t have to wait months or years to see what comes next – book two in the series is queued up to start now. I foresee my reviews for the rest of the series coming very quickly, as I just have to know what comes next for Tori.
Definitely for mature audiences only. Explicit violence, abuse, and sexual situations.

This is a compelling story of abuse, rebirth, and emergence.
The story carries you along teasing you with the promise of details. You eagerly push forward anxious to learn more. The author does not disappoint and you are gratified. When the story ends you are satisfied, but still want more. I’m keeping this review short because I’m in a hurry to start book 2!

Small Town Mystery
Cassie has run back to her hometown, trying to escape bitter and painful memories. Logan has just moved there to get away from big city living. Their small town living is about to be disrupted by an evil that will make it a struggle for them to survive. Great characters, a mysterious storyline, and some things that go bump in the night make this a book worth reading.

Twists and turns at every corner
I really wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. Cassie was a character who overcame a tragic loss early in life. Logan was a young deputy who was searching for Reggie to save. How could it be possible for these two to come to an understanding about what was happening? Throughout the story, you will find yourself second-guessing what is going on. There is lot of mystery and romance throughout the book.
Jane Callahan is a reclusive, seventeen-year-old high school student dealing with the death of her beloved brother. Her home in Southern California with her mother is a constant reminder of her loss and pain. In hopes of escaping her past she moves to North Bend Oregon to live with her father, where she meets a beautiful boy named Aidan Summers.
Jane is intrigued by his looks as well as his unusual ways of attempting to get her attention. After months of uncommon conversation and frustration, an uncertain romance brews between Jane and Aidan, but Aidan has a ghastly secret that could destroy everything.

A very captivating story
The characters and storyline kept me captivated. I didn’t want to put my book down. Although not my normal type of reading it was a book worth going out of my norm for. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a bit of the unusual.storyline
