There was an order to James Marsden’s future: get a job as an Indianapolis cop, work his way up to detective, and then find a nice girl and start a family. He never planned on walking into a diner on his first day as a rookie copy and for her to blow his entire timeline to smithereens.
When Marie Griffen’s older brother Steve introduced her to his new trainee, she was instantly drawn to his shy demeanor and blushing face. She couldn’t act on her feelings if she wanted to. Steve wanted her to date someone with a normal job – that wasn’t his partner. Marie just wanted to live without her older brother watching over her.
Marie and James must decide if this off-limits romance is worth the risk or if the consequences are too much for either to bear.

Fabulous prequel to the series!
I read books 1,2 and 3 before I read Loving Marie but it was amazing! I loved learning how Marie fit into the story. This is the most amazing series I’ve read in a while and hope it goes on a little longer. I highly recommend Loving Marie!

Karma’s Minion – Wow, all I can say about the start of this fourth story of the series is WOW. You always hear about not messing with Karma and we see how it comes back against Charlie in this one. What did he do that was so wrong to make Karma angry? What happens when Charlie goes to a cafe for coffee and something to eat while his mother gets to sleep in? Who is Ms. Kapoor? What does she have to do with all of this and why? I like the Yin and Yang aspect of this story.
Karma’s Revenge – Wow, having just gotten a few chapters into this, and seeing Charlie and Clarisse meet up again and Dante’s part in their reunion was very interesting indeed. When Clarisse finds out what has been happening for and to Charlie the decisions he has had to make caused things to get very interesting indeed. What happens when Gous shows up again? Things do get mighty interesting.
Karma’s Legacy – WOW! I did not expect what I saw in this third portion of this trio of books dealing with Karma. There is so much more going on than I anticipated or could have even dreamed about. You need to read this and see what happens, because I’m just like, “WOAH!”

Spooky and impossible to put down
I have to start by saying that this book was a pleasure to read. It is also the first that I have read by L.A. Remenicky. That being said, I found her characters to be real, believable, down-to-earth, and charming. Cassie is a woman who has never felt “right” in her own skin and things start to happen that make absolutely no sense at all. First, her parents are killed leaving her orphaned and alone with her grandmother. Then her grandmother dies in a mysterious way leaving Cassie the sole heir of the house she grew up in and her grandmother’s book store. All places that mean a great deal to her, but somehow host something out to get her. Logan is a new cop who just happens to meet Cassie in typical cop fashion…she gets a speeding ticket. He has no knowledge that his boss, the sheriff, is also Cassie’s best friend and the closest thing to a relative she has now. Logan is immediately drawn to Cassie and it slowly reveals itself in a haunting and highly anticipated way. Logan was sent to save Cassie from the demon entity that inhabited a “friend” from her parent’s past. Spooky, right? I thought so too. How do you fight a demon? How do you hold onto the love of your life and the warmth of the past? What happens when that demon is dead set on destroying not only you but everything you thought you could ever want?
