“Reading this book kept you wondering who the sociopath really is.” – Reasonable Doubts: A Mariner’s Bluff Mini-Mystery – Book #1 (Mariner’s Bluff Mini-Mysteries) by Jade Lazlow

Sociopaths can fool anyone. Despite their superficial charm, most of what they do and say is designed to manipulate. Even those closest to them don’t see it coming.

Viv Drewa

Who is the real sociopath?

Reading this book kept you wondering who the sociopath really is. Was it the convicted Jonathan? His mother-in-law? His wife, Susan?
You’ll have to read it to find out.
I highly recommend this amazing book!

“Fans of Perry Mason, Mike Hammer, Donald Lam, and others from that era will like Carson Reno for sure.” – “Murder in Humboldt” (Carson Reno Mystery Series, Book 1) by Gerald W. Darnell

Line Blurb

Set in the sixties, Carson Reno is the owner of the Drake Detective Agency in Memphis. When asked to investigate what might be infidelity by a wife who thinks she is hiring a stranger, he ends up implicated in the murder of JR Maxwell in his own hometown. Two thugs (Bubba and Bobby) try to convince him to keep his distance while the police chief insists he returns to Humboldt to answer some questions. Of course, there are some lovely ladies to provide some distraction, as well as Carson’s friends at Chiefs and the Starlight to provide support and libation. The union shut down at the textile mill, the trucks not allowed to leave, and the questionable meetings of JR, especially with General Samson and Judy Strong, give the story added dimension.
Having come of age in the sixties, the classic cars and social norms depicted by Darnell held a touch of nostalgia. The characters seemed to fit the times. The plot was easy to follow, but JR’s murderer and the motive weren’t obvious until the end. Fans of Perry Mason, Mike Hammer, Donald Lam, and others from that era will like Carson Reno for sure. This is the first in the Carson Reno series, the 12th (Justifiable Homicide) was published in October 2014.

“I just can’t recommend this series enough especially if you enjoy clean romance, time travel, and strong female characters!” – Belterra (Time After Time Novel) by Carol Ann Kauffman

The Time After Time Series follows a pair of unlikely lovers on their adventures through life and love, this time on an alien planet divided into four tribes. When Neeka, daughter of the Lord of the Warrior Clan, was out picking lavender in their vast fields of the West, she felt him coming for her, and she was ready. When Braedon, Lord of the Soldier Clan of the East, rode into those lavender fields, searching for the woman of his dreams, he had no idea if she were even real. But there she was, standing there looking up at him, smiling. He reached his hand down to her and waited. She accepted his hand, beginning their adventures together, changing not only their lives but the course of life and unity on their planet forever. An alien planet. Or is it?

I just can’t recommend this series enough especially if you enjoy clean romance, time travel, and strong female characters!

All I can say is WOW–what an epic story this one is!! I have read a couple of other Time After Time novels by Carol Ann Kauffman and truly loved them all–I am waiting to get to read the rest of this series. I read somewhere that this one is chronologically the first–and I kind of agree. There is no doubt in my mind that these are all stand alone and I am living proof that they can be read in any order!!

These two just can’t seem to get it together–even though they are soul mates-until the very very end–and even then there is a zinger.

Forbidden love – Yes Please! A must-read!

Angela Gray captured my attention from the first page. One question kept going through my mind as I read the book – What happened to Jolie? Angela provides enough hints to that question to keep the pages turning.

Love the word choices and how distinct the voices are of both characters. I also find Jolie very easy to relate to and rooting for her to get better and hope she will follow her dreams.

The friction at the start of the relationship has me sitting at the edge of my seat hoping to read faster to see how they end up. Love the instant attraction for the forbidden love but being in a motorcycle club, there are no rules so why not?

I enjoy the storyline and how it progresses at the right speed. Definitely a book worth reading over and over again.

“The story gets better and better, the intrigue is deeper and deeper.” – The Captain: A Crown and Dagger Book Two (The Never Lands Saga) by Andi Lawrencovna

There was a time before Prince Christophe was born when the worst fate his people had to worry about was war with their troll neighbors or an invasion from elfin forces beyond the woods. But that was before he was born and was cursed.
If he dies, so do his people.
Such a simple phrase, so oblique, and yet Kit has lived his life in fear of the prophecy, searching every shadow for assassins to come to get him.
Until she came and took up arms in his defense.
Warrior and witch. Assassin and priest. She was his teacher and his protector. His friend. The only woman ever to run from him at the end of a ball, and the only woman he ever asked to stay.
But Eli is an outsider in the human world, and trusted only so far, even by the man who desires more from her than her skill with a blade. The longer she remains with him, the more she falls for her prince in a world where her prince’s life is the fate of his lands.
As the time of the prophecy draws near, Eli and Kit will face more than dwarves and shadows to find solace with each other and salvation for their people.
Sometimes the one most suited to protect you is the one who holds the sharpest blade.
And there is no sharper sword than:

The Captain.

LJ Vickery

Captain captivates!

The story gets better and better, the intrigue is deeper and deeper. Ella and Kit throw sparks with every encounter, through war and strife, yet both remain true to the edicts of their birth. Hurrying on to book three for my happily ever after!

“Twisted, turns, chaotic at times this is a true love story with a bitter start but ends so beautifully!!” – Charming: A Crown and Dagger Book One (The Never Lands Saga 1) by Andi Lawrencovna

Once Upon a Time… Prince Christophe can’t die. Or, more precisely, if he dies, so does his country. But that hasn’t stopped the King from hosting a ball. And it hasn’t stopped Kit’s enemies from seeking a quick end between the quadrille and the waltz. The Children of the Wood hold out hope that their Assassin Queen will fulfill the prophecy and end Kit’s life. But when Ella vies for the prince’s attention, it’s not a knife that pierces his heart or her own. One waltz at a ball. One trip of a slipper. One Prince. And one Assassin. In the world of the Never Lands, Fairy Tales aren’t quite like you remember.

Sarah Fisher

Great read

Loved this book because it was a little different! While she wanted to kill the prince she just couldn’t do it. He chases her like the Cinderella story and she ends up saving his life. Twisted, turns, chaotic at times this is a true love story with a bitter start but ends so beautifully!!
