For the last five years, Heath Mitchell’s only priority has been running a successful tattoo shop. Relationships haven’t been on his radar, but as his thirtieth birthday gets closer, Heath realizes just how lonely he is. Like an answer to his prayers, Ned Nice comes into his shop. Despite the instant attraction between them, a dark secret in Ned’s past makes him afraid to get too close to Heath. Ned isn’t the only one with secrets though. Heath is hiding a secret so big it could be a deal-breaker. Can Heath and Ned find a way to overcome the demons of their pasts, or is it insane to try?
Author’s Note: This is a 91,000 word novel with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA. Trigger warning: Mentions of prior sexual assault.

Hot Men, Tattoos, and KU…What more could you want?
I have to admit I’m more likely to stick to authors I know rather than venture out and read a new one. But this was an author recommended in Lucy Lennox’s reader group. Plus, M/M and tattoos? Kindle Unlimited? A series with siblings? I decided the deck was stacked way too high in favor of this book not to try it, and thank goodness I did. I LOVED this book! I finished in a matter of hours and immediately rushed to the second one. My only regret is the 3rd book isn’t out yet!
Heath is a tattoo artist. A gay tattoo artist who is out and proud. He has worked hard and sacrificed for everything he has. He spent his childhood protecting his younger brother and focused on surviving his druggie, neglectful parents. Heath now owns his own tattoo parlor with his best friend, “X”. His brother works with them and he has two other “adopted brothers” who also work at the shop. Heath does have a past. He did porn to afford to buy the tattoo shop. He isn’t ashamed of it but doesn’t shout it out either.
Ned is an emergency room nurse. He is a quintuplet. Meaning he has four brothers. ALL of them gay. Ned had an amazing childhood with his loving, supportive parents and his brothers. Ned has had several difficult relationships and a traumatic incident in college. He has decided he is better off alone and isn’t interested in a relationship. He is happy with his family and his job. Ned accompanies one of his brothers when he gets a tattoo, meeting Heath. Ned and Heath are instantly attracted to each other, but Ned is committed to his decision not to pursue a relationship. Heath has other ideas.
Ned is blackmailed into going on a date with Heath by his own brother. Ned finds himself agreeing to more dates with Heath. Pretty soon he’s in the relationship he didn’t think he wanted, but it is going better than he ever thought it would. There is a little bit of trouble in paradise when Ned learns about Heath’s past, but there is a happily ever after for this awesome couple.
Again, I loved this book. There was no angst (thank goodness!). The focus of this perfectly paced book was on these two well-developed characters overcoming the trauma of their past and giving into the depths of their feelings for each other. Each of these men has families, both of their choosing and biological, that play a huge supporting role in the book. We get a brief glimpse of each of the quints and the guys that work at the tattoo shop, and those brief glimpses will just leave you wanting more. This book has smoking hot guys, fire hot sex scenes, romance, laughter, and ALL THE FEELS.
I can only hope that each brother ends up with one of the men at the tattoo shop. I can’t wait.
