Another book that will suffer multiple reads. As I always do with L. Ann’s books. The stories just suck you in and put you in the world she created.
I loved the story about Kaleb, Aaron, and Anibet. Kaleb and Aaron showed what true brotherhood was by having the back of each other. The MC – Baxter crew does lend in their brand of craziness. Though it seems that some did rub off on Kaleb and Aaron. Kaleb Baker is truly a Baxter. Fully trained in all that is Baxter he is now a Senator and while pushing in all bills that make the world better, he has a partnership with Aaron LaPonte-James who is from the MC. Fully trained HS Aaron and Kaleb (who is a silent partner) start up D.C. Security. Both Aaron and Kaleb come from having multiple fathers and they enjoy that type of relationship. Anibet is a true old lady, she takes the “freaky kids” and all that is thrown at her in stride and only has good in her heart.
As always L. Ann Marie’s books are promoting good while battling to get to the happy place. Strong males that stand up and treat their women as special as each one is.
