Absolutely Fantastic!
By Cinderella 7
I loved this story so much! However, it ended way too soon, I wanted to see them reunite and help the people (Indians). Why couldn’t you have made it longer? Authors do this quite often, and it saddens me. But I will read this story over again often, you can count on that. Any who read this wonderful story needs first to read the first book in the Wilderness series. If you don’t, you will miss so very much that will help you understand book 2. Enjoy reading both as I have.

Wow! This was such a great story and a great author! I bought another of his book when I was done with this one, and it was just as engrossing. He is a master of drawing you in.
I have definitely found a new favorite. I will be keeping an eye out for whatever Mr. Bussa writes in the future. I highly recommend this!

GET ON THE BUSY BUS! A FUN BOOK OF POETRY FOR YOUR LITTLE ONES! THE BUSY BUS BY MARSHA CASPER COOK!

Busy Bus 2017.jpgThis is a funny short-rhyming book. Kids will enjoy listening to these poems over and over again and still be entertained by the magical words that shout out, ” This is funny stuff.”
Caesar Burgess walked up to bat.
His knees were shaking, and that was that.
He tried and tried many times before
But was never, never able to score.
He looked out at the crowd
And gave them a nod
The gum he was chewing
Was now a large wad.
He took a deep breath
For hope and for luck.
Trying to remember
To hit, miss or duck.
He slowly moved back
Just a little bit.
He swallowed his pride
And smacked his lip.
All of a sudden
It happened so fast.
He hoped this feeling
Would always last!
He took a swing
And his bat hit the ball.
Suddenly he felt like
He was ten feet tall.
So he ran and he ran
And he ran some more.
And wouldn’t you know it?
This time he did score.

“A Poet’s Journey” (Sunlight and Shadows) by Marta Moran Bishop – #Poetry, #American, #Regional&Cultural, #UnitedStates

Marta sunshine and shadows with review.jpg

Marta Moran Bishop continues her journey in Sunlight and Shadows. This book of poetry, unlike A Poet’s Journey: Emotions, is a more thought-provoking book. In its pages, she covers everything from God, to life after death, war, and the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Still, she is able to bring to life the beauty and grandeur of her surroundings and make us laugh, cry, think, and feel.
Sunlight and Shadows will once again, take you on an emotional journey through life.
I believe it is how we deal with despair, tragedy, and joy that define us as human beings.

A raw peek inside an intimate dichotomy
Through this collection, Marta Moran Bishop gives the reader a raw peek inside the intimate dichotomy a victim of abuse must endure until they are able to process. Marta takes the entanglement of love and hates abuse manifests, and through the rhythm of her words, she unwinds her confusion. In a completely unadulterated tone, she smooths the drama and unselfishly shares the gift with others, a priceless gift. Her gift is without restraint through her beautiful poetry. This book is a deep reflection of a victim, a survivor and a beautifully empathetic human being that has risen above the perpetrators of the past and found beauty in people, nature, and animals. I so admire Marta’s ability to share her deepest and most intimate feelings and experiences while at the same time recognizing obstacles others encounter that are not hers personally.
From a heart wrenching abusive experience, a salute to soldiers, an inclusive look at God and a tree sleeping…this is a wonderful labor of love any poetry reader will appreciate.

3 Leader front
Excerpt: Leader – Princes of Prophecy Book 3
“I’m not leaving her.” It’s taking everything in me to keep that hold on her and keep functioning normally. I’m not giving up and I’m not giving in.
Brenda has tears in her eyes. “I can stay.”
“You already do. You’re here in the day and I’m here at night. I’m not leaving her. I’ll get a nurse to stay with her at the house. I’ll stay here with the boys. I’ll do any fuckin’ thing but leave her.”
“She needs hospital care. She still has pressure that’s being drained,” the doctor says.
“Then I’m staying. I don’t need the nurses checking on the boys. I’ve done everything for them without help from the minute I held them. They’re healthy and strong. They can stay with me.” He walks out pissed. Brenda just looks at me. “I am not leaving her. She needs to know we’re here. She’s going to get that from me. I have no problem with you staying in the day, but I’ll be here until she’s ready to come home.”
“She could have brain damage. They’re draining blood from her brain.” Tears are running down her face.
I put my hand up. “I’m not doing this. My boy died, he’s here and healthy. She’s still here and she’s breathing on her own. Nothing is written and I will not spend one fuckin’ minute of my time on a maybe. I’ll wait and deal with whatever the fuck happens when I need to, but I will not let her go and I am not leaving her.” She walks out.
Dakota looks at me. “I will not say anything that gets me kicked out too.”
I laugh and kiss Phoenix’s head.

A Very Good accidentally read!
By Barbara
4.5 stars! What a wonderful development this book turned out to be!! I accidentally got this book by mistake. As I started reading it, two things quickly happened. 1st I figured out the characters and story I was reading did not match the description in the synopsis of the book I thought I’d gotten and 2nd I was totally hooked on the suspense of this one. May I say this is not a book I would have normally gotten for myself due to the storyline (visions to try and to stop a murder before it happens) but the characters, storyline, and scenes were so well written, so vivid that I literally could not put my kindle down. The suspense kept me glued to the pages and the twists and turns kept me on edge till the very end. Kudos to the author for wonderfully thought out plot and a book I recommend if you enjoy a good suspense!
