It seemed that Amanda was always in competition with Sandy. To make matters worse, Sandy was her best friend. Just once, Amanda would like to take first place to Sandy for something, anything! The new school year had just started and Amanda had a new teacher, Miss Turner. This was Miss Turner’s first year of teaching, so she didn’t know anything about her class; she didn’t know that Sandy always won everything! Maybe this could be the year that Amanda finally won something! Her hopes were dashed, though, when her new teacher called for a test on the first day of school! Who gives a test on the first day of school?
