CURL UP WITH A GREAT READ ROOM 203 BY DELLANI OAKES
“Each book is better than the last” – Moved By You by Trish Edmisten
#romanceauthor #contemporary romance #romancewriter #newadultromance
Cooper Mitchell isn’t what most men expect. Most men see his silver hair and dressed up dog and assume he’s a sassy little bottom. Cooper may be sassy, but he’s nobody’s bottom boy. That’s just fine with Roger Nice. All it takes is one look and Roger knows Cooper is everything he wants, but can Cooper be the type of Dom he needs? Or are there some things that are just too much to ask? Roger doesn’t think so, at least he hopes not, but will Cooper agree?
Note: This is the third book in the series. While it can be read as a standalone, the other two books should be read first for maximum enjoyment. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed HEA.

Each book is better than the last
Great storyline. Each book in this series gets better. I love the vulnerability of Roger and his secret kink, the emotion gave me the feels, and Prince Harry William made me smile. This book is a great mix of hot sex, huge emotion, and love.

I really enjoyed reading it!
It’s a very thrilling story and I loved how unexpected the ending was. A very well-written novel that I enjoyed reading a lot.
Rider and his father are attending the funeral of someone his father knew a long time ago. He doesn’t understand why his father has brought him here when he didn’t even know these people. Apparently the deceased was someone special to his father and now his father wants to help the family uncover secrets that are better forgotten.
Meri has just lost her mother. She is still in shock and grieving when she meets Rider. Suddenly, two youngsters are thrown together due to unexpected circumstances. It seems that Meri is in danger and for some reason Rider is appointed as her bodyguard. On the run, as they spend time together not only they learn more about their past but also pave a path to their future, a future that neither of them had anticipated.
It’s a fast-paced novel. I liked the flow of it and the characters too. I think that it is a very good start to a promising series. Also, it is a bonus that the book can be read as stand alone.
BRING IN 2021 WITH A COZY MYSTERY, THE MAGIC OF MURDER BY SUSAN LYNN SOLOMON
When his partner is discovered in a frozen alley with eight bullets in his chest, Niagara Falls Police Detective Roger Frey swears vengeance. But Detective Chief Woodward has forbidden him or anyone else on the detective squad to work the case. Emlyn Goode knows Roger will disobey his boss, which will cost him his job and his freedom. Because she cares for him more than she’ll admit, she needs to stop him. Desperate, she can think of but one way.
Emlyn recently learned she’s a direct descendant of a woman hanged as a witch in 1692. She has a book filled with arcane recipes and chants passed down through her family. Possessed of, or perhaps by a vivid imagination, she intends to use these to solve Jimmy’s murder before Roger takes revenge on the killer. But she’s new to this “witch thing,” and needs help from her friend Rebecca Nurse, whose ancestor also took a short drop from a Salem tree. Rebecca’s not much better at deciphering the ancient directions, and while the women stumble over spell after spell, the number possible killers grows. When Chief Woodward’s wife is shot and a bottle bomb bursts through Emlyn’s window, it becomes clear she’s next on the killer’s list.

The writing is top-notch–a pleasure to read–and the story is a page turner. I couldn’t put my Kindle down. The characters were all very well-developed, the plot was amazingly deft and devious, and the “magical” twist smacked of excellent research and clever story development.
This novel is a keeper, an entertaining read and an on-the-edge-of-your-seat mystery-lover’s nirvana.

Kimber wanted to be a lawyer almost as much as she wanted Roland Sampson, her older brother’s best friend. After pining for him for two years, Kimber finally accepts that to Roland, she will always be “his best friend’s kid sister,” and nothing more.
During her first year of college, Kimber meets Samantha and her twin, ultimate bad-boy Jaxen Malloy, drummer for Negative Ion. Tatted. Muscled. Beyond gorgeous. Soon Kimber finds herself forgetting Roland and thinking only of Jaxen, much to Samantha’s disappointment. Like Kimber’s brother, Samantha wants Kimber as far away from Jaxen, female enemy number one, as possible since she knew all Jaxen would do is viciously hurt her. Not this time, Kimber insisted. Well-schooled on Jaxen’s reputation, Kimber decides to take what she can get, and ignore all the warnings to stay away from the handsome bad-boy.
Will Jaxen ever think of Kimber as something other than his “annoying” sister’s friend or was he falling for her, too? Kimber hoped so and, to find out, she was willing to take the risk of Jaxen breaking her heart… and soul.

A must-read..
Really loved this story about Kimber and Jaxen. I couldn’t believe they loved each other all this time and it took them so long to get together. A must-read it was sad towards the end. I wanna read the next two to see what happens to them. The ending was a cliff hanger. Does she stay married to Roland or go with Jaxen? I have to know. This book had me in suspense couldn’t put it down till I was done.

I was looking for a new book for my great-nephew and happened upon this one. I love children’s books written in a singsong rhyming style reminiscent of Dr. Seuss and this book was just what I was looking for.
The cadence of the rhyme along with the skillful illustrations rapidly engages the youngster’s attention as they follow the characters on their search for the ‘golden ruler,’ A fun and enjoyable read, this book also imparts an important lesson for youngsters without being preachy.
My great-nephew thoroughly enjoyed it and, I hope, took away with him a valuable concept.
I can recommend this book without reservation to any who have young children in their lives

CURL UP WITH SOME YA FANTASY THE LAST TIMEKEEPERS AND THE ARCH OF ATLANTIS BY SHARON LEDWITH
March 21, 2018
I was more than pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up loving this book. I don’t often read Middle Grade fantasy (or much Middle Grade at all, to be honest) so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But I can confidently say that The Last Timekeepers is a series that will probably appeal to you no matter how old you are. It’s that perfect mix of real world humor and pure escapism into an alternate reality, plus there’s a good bit of historical fiction thrown in (which I always love).
The Last Timekeepers are made up of a fun cast of five kids and two adults who are thrown together due to circumstance and destiny. They are given the extremely important role of making sure that history unfolds as it should and that everything stays cool with the timeline. I love, love, LOVE time travel stories, so I was already well on board with this theme, but I found myself truly pulled into the story because of the wonderful way the characters were drawn. The story itself has a lot of funny parts to it and a lot of the dialogue is downright hilarious. I could totally see real kids talking to each other like this. I was also completely charmed by the two adults who accompany them. John, a brilliant archaeologist, and Melody, a good-witch type of character.
Overall this is just an awesome book and I’m really looking forward to diving into the rest of the series. I would recommend it to anyone who likes Middle Grade fiction, Middle Grade fantasy, or anything to do with time travel.
“This is a delightful story about friendship and lessons learned while growing up” – Shadow’s Unexpected Adventure by Mary Clark Dalton, Illustrated by Adrienne Anderson
Shadow, a redwing blackbird, and Bright, a bluebird, were best friends. The two were always swapping stories about their exciting adventures while they were apart during the winter season. All too soon, the weather would turn cool and the two birds would realize that their fun times were coming to a close for a few months. That is, unless they could come up with a plan!
The two birds put their heads together asking, “Can we really trade places? What could go wrong?”
Follow Shadow and Bright as they find out that adventures do not always turn out as planned!
