Once again I am blown away. I read book 1 Blood Master and just couldn’t wait to read Blood Phase and continue the story of Griffin Storm and I must say I was not disappointed. I was instantly transported back into the amazing imagination of the author and she certainly got m hooked all over again.
Griffin is struggling to deal with his new abilities and experiences a wave of emotions. In this installment, he has to take on the notorious Trips ( elite members of the Guild Faction) while trying to rescue his children from the Underground. This is where we are introduced to Zade. He is a trip who wants to bring Griffin back to the guild faction. He helped Griffin when he was the Guilds experiment but Griffin cannot remember the good that Zade did for him so goes to battle against him. This part of the book was very intense and full of action which I loved. We also see a different side to Griffin in this installment. He turns a little bad while he is trying to deal with all his mixed emotions and Griffin also realises that he has managed to keep hold of some of his human side as he goes through feelings of pain, turmoil, grief, love, and vengeance, He especially struggles with all the events that unfold within the Underground when on a mission to rescue all the children from being taken by the Trips back to the Guild Faction.Through it all Griffin has Tassta showing her unconditional love towards Griffin and also his friendship with Penn gets stronger. These connections are what keep Griffin from crumbling and both Tassta and Penn are his anchors. Griffin goes through stages of doubt towards Lerin in this book and feels that Lerin is being enticed by his special scent so feels he needs to separate himself a bit from Lerin, Griffin is feeling uneasy within the fortress as he tries to come to terms with everything that happens and with everything he feels so he starts to doubt Lerin and his true motives.

This book was full of suspense and I loved every minute of it. The story and the characters are well developed and the author wove her magic once again to create a truly spellbinding story
