Bailey and Trey were just kids when they met. Being placed in the same group home wasn’t exactly an ideal circumstance for starting a new relationship, but it didn’t matter. Although this is a standalone, both main characters were introduced in the last book of the author’s “Nice Ink” series, and characters from all of those books make an appearance in this book. The story begins 10 years ago when the characters first met. Although Bailey and Trey felt a deep connection for one another, they only had a brief time together and they were both too young. Trey especially feels unworthy of Bailey and wants to first work on himself before pursuing a relationship. However, things don’t work out exactly how he planned, so 10 years pass without any interaction between them. They both have tried to get on with their lives, though Bailey always wondered what happened to Trey and hoped he was happy. Will Trey finally go after what he wants and when he does, will Bailey accept him?
